Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- At least 1-year experience working in assisted living facility assisting residents with daily living activities.
- Certification as a HHA or PCA is not required but can be helpful.
Job Responsibilities
The Resident Care Assistant has the following responsibilities:
- Assists residents with Activities of Daily Living at all levels including Assisted, Enhanced, and Special Needs Levels of Care.
- Prepares and maintain documentation/records of services performed.
- Performs light housekeeping duties: trash removal, laundry, bed making, etc.
- Consults/reports to nurse supervisor Resident’s needs and any changes in Resident’s status.
- Attends and participates in any mandatory meetings, in-services and additional training.
- Assists the LPN Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, Nurse Manager, and/or Director in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating resident care services, in accordance with the current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the Community.
- Weighs and measures residents as instructed.
- Assists with dining service during mealtime.
